Recommendation – by Vera Wang

October 30th, 2009

Just found a very good article from www.verawang.com.

Afterall, the most important point on how to choose your wedding dress is, whether it suit you.

Enjoy~

Question: Many people have advised me to choose a beaded wedding dress, but I love your simpler wedding dresses. What do you recommend?

Answer: As with every aspect of your wedding dress, beading is a personal choice. Beading – or any ornamentation for that matter – should suit the nature of the ceremony and the shape of the wedding dress. For example, pearl beading is more appropriate for morning ceremonies and beading of any kind makes a greater impact on an a-line or mermaid cut. Most importantly, your choice should suit you.

In choosing your wedding dress, consider design details in a more general sense. Where do you want to draw attention? Is the amount of detail on your wedding dress consistent with your personality and your vision for the day?

Remember that simplicity is also a statement. A draped bodice, for example, communicates a romantic sensibility similar to that of lace or beading. A dress with minimal detailing in a colored fabric expresses modernity. The absence of detail is a deliberate, and powerful, choice for your wedding dress.
